A thorough physical examination is the most important part of your pet's annual check-up. Your dog is unable to inform you of subtle changes in his/her health. Your pet cannot tell you if there is an abnormal flutter in his/her heart rhythm, or if there is a small growth on the leg that wasn't there last week. A thorough physical examination by your veterinarian may detect abnormalities before they turn into major health problems! Also, the physical examination is an excellent opportunity for you to discuss new advances in health care and nutrition for your pet.
